The Show 'n Tell Show
May 20th, 7pm
The Whistler
2421 N Milwaukee
Chicago, IL
The Show 'n Tell Show, Chicago's first and only Live Talk Show centered around design, is a late night-style show where the guests are the city's most dynamic designers, photographers, illustrators and poster-makers. They each present a single project in a lively evening full of drinks, laughs, and design.
The Show 'n Tell Show is hosted by designers Michael Renaud and Zach Dodson. But they would never show without SpokesMom, the spokesmodel that is also your mom. She provides clueless commentary and blind encouragement to the guests, as well as comic relief from design that takes itself too seriously.
But the best part of the show are the show offs. The next show's guests will include:
Jay Ryan (The Bird Machine, 100 Poster, 134 Squirrels)
Paul Hornschemeier (Mother, Come Home, The Three Paraoxes)
David Barringer (There's Nothing Funny About Design, Opium)
Zach Huelsing and Matt Kessler (Eye Rocket Books)
Doug Fogelson (Front 40 Press)
This is a FREE Event.

Camp Firebelly started as a way to connect fresh talent with nonprofits in need. The collaborative environment is intense but offers an incredible opportunity to learn firsthand what professional life is like through the socially responsible vision of Firebelly Design.
If you’re serious about using your talent and creativity for something good, this is your chance for immersive involvement in our studio’s process, methods and daily grind. Campers stay in Firebelly’s Chicago loft office, sleep in sleeping bags and eat healthy organic/vegetarian grub. You’ll participate in research, brainstorms and client critiques.
They are hunting for the most talented + brightest college design students (or recent graduates) to join them for the 2nd Annual Camp Firebelly design charrette. It’s 2 weeks of intensive collaboration with an amazing nonprofit focused on empowerment and expression. Working together, you’ll strategize, design and develop the perfect solution and probably change the client’s future forever.
For more information or to get a camp application visit the AIGA Chicago or Camp Firebelly web sites.
